Digital Culture in Colombia
Ludmila Ferrari, Edgar Nunez, Ingrid Sanchez Tapia, Joyojeet Pal
This project is an examination of ‘digital culture’ in Colombia. We look at the three major ways in which digital culture is evolving – social media, electronic governance, and communications infrastructure. Under electronic governance, we consider ways in which the citizen-state interface in Colombia is changing in recent years, under communications infrastructure we examine access issues related to telephony, internet/broadband, and media access, and under social media we consider the ways in which social capital is changing in the digital age.
