GRID was formed in 2012 by faculty and students at the University of Michigan to build a community of scholars and potential practitioners interested in ICTD.
What is ICTD?
The growing field of Information and Communications Technology and Development (ICTD) is a multi-disciplinary area of work that examines and often actively participates in issues of economic and social development resulting from the growth (or lack) of access to technology throughout the world. The GRID webpage lists campus resources including classes, research projects, and interested people working on ICTD issues throughout the University of Michigan.
If you are interested in participating, please subscribe to our mailing list ictd-discuss [at] umich [dot] edu. This is where we discuss interesting ICTD related topics and post about upcoming events.
